Senior Center

Shelby Senior Center will be playing bridge on the second Wednesday of every month starting on April 10th at 1:00PM. If interested please call Anita 402249-6110; we would like to have 3 or 4 tables.Also every Thursday we will be playing Mexican Train Dominos at 12:45.

Spring Play

The spring play titled “Wagon Wheels a-Rollin” will be Saturday, April 20th at 2 PM and 7 PM at Shelby-Rising City School. Free will donations will be accepted.

Shelby Clean-Up Day

FRIDAY- APRIL 26 5:30 - 7:00 pm The Shelby Chamber of Commerce and the Village of Shelby are sponsoring Shelby Community Clean-Up again this year. Clean-Up is reserved for Shelby residents only. A drop site has been designated for disposal items.

New Grant-Funded Positions Provide Support for Conservation Practices

The Upper Big Blue Natural Resources District has recently added two staff positions that will assist producers in adding conservation practices to their acres. Both positions are entirely grant-funded and will serve a similar function, though their funding sources and titles are distinct.

Waste Tire Collection May 2nd-4th

Polk County will be holding a waste tire collection. This collection is grant funded and available only to Polk County residents. Tires of various sizes will be accepted off the rim, excluding tire retailers, salvage yards and recycle businesses. Foam or calcium-filled tires will NOT be accepted.
