Hope everyone fully enjoyed the excitement surrounding The Eclipse, for such natural wonders “NEVER cease to amaze!” Like many others, I find that talk of environmental issues always gets me thinking about ways to enhance positive, related efforts.

Library News

BASIC EMAIL CLASS We will have a Basic Email Class at the Osceola Public Library on April 22 at 5:00 pm. Participants need to bring their phone or tablet, if that’s where they access email, to the class. Please call the library at 402-7474301 to sign up as class size will be limited.

OSCEOLA — Hudson Prososki, a senior at Osceola High School, is one of twenty-five recipients of the Frontier Cooperative’s scholarship program. Hudson is the son of Michael & Cheri Prososki. His intended college is Northeast Community College. Congratulations to Hudson on this achievement!

Senior Center

Activities at the Osceola senior center for the month of April will include the following: April 1, Polk County cards at the Osceola senior center at 1:00 p.m. Exercises every Monday and Thursday morning from 9:0010:00 a.m. All are welcome.

Annie Jeffrey Thrift Store in Osceola has ALL NEW spring items in the shop. OPEN: Wednesday- Friday 10:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m. The thrift store is located at 451 Hawkeye St. on the south side of the town square.

Observations at 150 Polk County observances upon the 150th year are happening. This contribution intends to trace the several threads of origin back to the rural Calvary Lutheran Church, Swede Home. Most of what we know on the subject was written by one of its sons, C.A.
