Kind of Good, or Good?

I have a friend whom every time we meet, never fails to ask me, “Pastor Duncan, how are you doing today? Are you good or kind of good?” It always leaves me unsure of how to respond. However, this question has really got me thinking!

Bulldog Speech Competes at HPC

The Bulldog speech team competed at High Plains on Saturday, March 2. Hayden Lavaley was the Serious Prose Champion. Matt DeMers was the Entertainment Runner-up. Sadie Sterup placed 9th in POI. Hayden Lavaley placed 3rd and Josie Sunday placed 8th in Poetry.

Hwy 81 Meetings

The Nebraska Department of Transportation (NDOT) will hold three public information open house meetings regarding the proposed expansion of approximately 41 miles of U.S. Highway 81 (US-81) located in York, Polk, and Butler counties.

Osceola Fire Dept Fights House Fire

Osceola Fire was dispatched to a structure fire at 12947 O Road on February 29 at 11:37 a.m. Upon arrival they found the home completely engulfed in flames. Mutual aid was then requested from Stromsburg Fire.

The Osceola Tri-Church Ministry association will again host luncheons on Wednesdays during the season of Lent, beginning on February 21. This year, pastors from the participating congregations will speak on the topic of “family and vocation.

CAPITOL VIEW Three of the four kids in my family were born on the same day in December over a span of 14 years. The “other” one was born on March 1. To appease her, my older sister and brother and I told the March- born she was special because she shared a birthday with the State of Nebraska!

Dr. Seuss’ Birthday

Dr. Seuss was born March 2, 1904 and would be 120 years old if he was still alive. Dr. Seuss (Theodor Seuss Geisel) passed away in September 1991. He is still one of the more popular children’s authors. Stromsburg Library held a party on Friday March 1st to celebrate.

The Farmers Alliance Companies in McPherson, Kansas, have announced that Cornerstone Insurance Group has been named a Farmers Alliance Advantage Agent for 2024. To qualify as an Advantage Agent, an agency must exhibit superior professionalism and profitability over five consecutive years.
