Cougars 5th at Conference

The Cougar Speech Team competed at the Crossroads Conference in Hampton on Wednesday February 21. They placed 5th as a team out of the eleven schools in the conference. Addie Linn placed 4th in Poetry. Ella Pinkelman, Ella Cramer, Ava Cramer, Libby Rutherford, and Emily Johansen placed 5th in OID.

The Stromsburg Chamber of Commerce welcomed new business, Ortegren Auto Repair. Pictured is chamber representative Megan Klein, business owner Cody Ortegren, and chamber rep Sherry Oberg. Ortegren Auto Repair is located just north of Stromsburg and does all sorts of auto work.

The first meeting of the Swedish Midsommar Festival was well attended with a lot of good discussion. The dates are set for June 14-16. There are needs for leadership and help in several areas. The chicken/pork BBQ and parade are two places where help is needed and planning needs to start.
