Basketball Coach Removed

SHELBY — Shelby-Rising City removed their boys basketball coach from the sidelines with a week remaining in the season. Huskies boys basketball coach Jim Buswell is out as coach and is no longer employed at the district. Attempts to reach Buswell for comment were unsuccessful.

Local Nursing Homes Status

Local nursing homes such as the Good Samaritan Society in Osceola and the Midwest Covenant Home in Stromsburg are the only two in the county, and their status is stable. But problems plaguing other rural Long-Term Care facilities are also challenges for them. “Costs are up, labor costs are up.

OMAHA – Four wrestling teams with eleven people went to the CHI Health Center for state wrestling. Nine people brought home medals.

SRC Dance Team is Statebound

The SRC Dance Team will be competing at the State Dance competition Friday, February 16th in Grand Island at the Heartland Event Center. They compete in their Pom routine at 7:54 pm and their Hip-Hop routine at 9:26pm.
