GUSTAFSON SCORES ANOTHER RECORD

On Friday, Kale Gustafson of Osceola got another school record. He surpassed the school record of career points in basketball. That record was set less than a year ago by his former teammate Isaiah Zelasney. He needed three points on Friday to surpass the points set by Isaiah Zelasney, 1744.

Backpack Program Quietly Serves Families

There are 86 local kids not going hungry this holiday season thanks to the Backpack Program. The Backpack Program, originating in Lincoln, is locally sponsored by A Place At the Table Inc.

We would like to thank everyone who helped make our trip to Hawaii a success. It was an honor to represent Shelby-Rising City High School and Polk County, Nebraska in the Pearl Harbor Parade on Dec. 7th in Hawaii.

By Bob Greenwall Time spent in museums is my happy time. Growing up, it was frequently a conflict between my wanting to stop at museums and dad’s focus on getting to the destination quickly. It was not an interest we shared. Today’s find is a good example of the reason for my fascination.
