Community Baker Recognized

Adelle Tonniges was honored recently for serving 25 years as a volunteer baker for the Gresham Wednesday Morning Coffee group. She was presented with a rolling pin signed by many of the people she bakes for every Wednesday morning.

Soule, Quast Honored on President’s List

Dylan Soule of Polk and Aubree Quast of Clarks, graduates of High Plains Community Schools, both made the President’s List at Chadron State College this semester. In order to qualify, students must have a cumulative gradepoint average of 4.0 on a 4.

The remaining High Plains Community basketball home games will each have a theme: Jan. 4th, Blue Out; Jan. 6th, Hawaiian; Jan. 11th, Blackout; Jan. 16th, Pajamas; Jan. 30th, Jersey, and Feb. 3rd, Hats. The cheerleaders want to see Storm fans packing the stands!

Beran Announces Departure

Superintendent Kim Beran announced her resignation at a special school board meeting held at High Plains on December 18th. Her resignation is effective June 30, 2024. The High Plains School Board is beginning the search for a replacement and will work with a couple firms.
