Oh my goodness! What a fun Christmas for the residents of Midwest Covenant Home. The grade school and preschool 4 year old classes came caroling to kick off our adventuresome week. “Jingle Bells” and “We Wish You a Merry Christmas” filled our halls with these wonderful children singing.

January: New faces at two schools as Marcus Donner joined Shelby- Rising City as principal and Dalton Rath joined Cross County mid-term as music teacher. Polk County News welcomed additional owners as Rick and Kimberly Holtz joined the “family business”.

Sparrow Publications Offers Scholarship

Sparrow Publications (the parent company of the Polk County News and Nance County Journal) have started a scholarship. Co-owners Rick Holtz and Beth Sparrow want to encourage students to go into journalism.
