Pillen Wants All Hands on Deck

Governor Jim Pillen wants all state government employees at their desks in their assigned departments beginning next month. He said the pandemic-era remote is over, although both empirical and anecdotal evidence nationwide show a workplace change that was pandemic caused has become the new normal.

New Watchperson Appointed

Charles Roberts was chosen to be this year’s Christmas Watchperson during halftime of the home game against Exeter-Milligan/ Friend Friday, December 1st. A true Bulldog, Charles Roberts has served the Osceola Fire and Rescue Department for over 50 years.

Wow, it’s December already! We will have our Christmas Story Hour on Wednesday, December 13th at 4:00 pm at the Osceola library. All Pre-K through 2nd grade are invited to join us for stories, crafts, treats and fun!!

OCDT Competes at Regionals

The Osceola Cheer and Dance Team competed at the UDA (Universal Dance Association) Spirit of the Midwest Regional at Papillion LaVista South on Sunday, December 3rd.

Retirement Coffee

After 37 years working for the USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service in Polk and York County, Alane Nelson, Soil Conservationist will retire on December 30th 2023.

Feezell Recognized

The Nebraska Strength Coaches Organization highlighted Strength Coach and Activities Director Evan Feezell of Osceola High School on their social media account Friday, December 1st. Coach Feezell has worked in education for twenty-one years and as a strength and conditioning coach for twelve.

Thrift Shop Moving

The Annie Jeffrey Thrift Shop is moving to a new location. On December 22 they will move across the street to the former Fields and Frills shop. They will be closed from December 23rd to January 10th. A storewide moving sale will be from December 5th -22nd. Buy one get one free!
