Whatever Happened to People Who Apologize?

Quick, somebody give the Governor a shovel, I want to see how much deeper he can dig the hole. Weeks after he insulted a reporter who questioned the high nitrate levels on his pig farm, Governor Jim Pillen has yet to apologize for his xenophobic remarks.

Senate Solutions to Secure Our Southern Border

We are living in the worst border crisis on record. It is a humanitarian and security crisis. U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) reported yet another record with 269,735 encounters at the southern border last month.

Pumpkins have popped up all over the area! Pumpkins in all shapes and sizes and colors—I even saw a white one a while back! Pumpkins perched on porch steps, lurking on lawns, sitting near scarecrows…A few years ago we even saw a little trick-or-treating munchkin dressed like a pumpkin!

Operation Christmas Child Time

It’s time to start packing your shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child. Collection week is November 13-20 and you can take your boxes to St. Paul Lutheran Church in Osceola. The hours of collection are Monday to Saturday 9 AM to 1 PM, Thursday 5-7 PM and Sunday 1-4 PM.

Mental Health FirstAid Course

Four Corners Health Department is sponsoring a mental health first aid course on November 9th from 9 AM to 4:30 PM, with about an hour for lunch on your own. It will be at the Butler County Health Center in David City.
