Story Hour at Library

Welcome all children Pre-K thru 2nd grade to a Halloween Story Hour on Oct 30, 1923 at 4:00. We will be reading stories, making crafts and having treats. Come and enjoy the fun!

The Osceola Community Action Group will hold their October 2023 meeting on Thursday, October 26th at the Osceola Civic Center at 12:30 p.m. Businesses and individuals are welcome to join us as we work together to improve our town Osceola. Spooktacular and Christmas Downtown will be discussed.

Nebraska DHHS Releases Proposed Guidelines for LB 574

LINCOLN – This week, the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services released their proposed regulations surrounding LB 574 and access to gender-affirming care for minors. These regulations are essentially unchanged from the temporary guidelines issued earlier this month.

Veterans’ Day Services

Osceola’s Veterans’ Day services will be Friday, November 10th at 9 AM at the high school gym. Please come recognize our veterans.

Mountain lion lottery application period is Nov. 6 – Dec. 13

The Nebraska Game and Parks Commission will accept lottery applications for mountain lion permits Nov. 6 – Dec. 13, 2023, for the 2024 hunting season. Permits are available only to Nebraska residents, who may have one permit per calendar year.

HPC FFA Harvest Test Plot

High Plains Ag students harvested Test Plot #2 with the help of Pat McNaught, Mick Goedeken, and Kyle Schmidtberger from Orthmans and AKRS. This test plot compared the Orthman 1tRIPr and Unverferth Raptor strip tillage machines.

Gresham News

Centennial JH/HS Fall Concert will be Monday, October 30th, at 7 p.m. Gresham Community Club will sponsor Trunk or Treat on October 31st from 6-7 p.m. on the west end of Main Street. Trunk setup time is 5:30 for anyone who would like to participate.
