Blood Pressure Clinics

Clinics to monitor blood pressure will also be held each Tuesday of the month. They will be held at the Senior Center and rotate between each town in Polk County.

Mental Health First Aid Course

Four Corners Health Department is sponsoring a mental health first aid course on November 9th from 9 AM to 4:30 PM, with about an hour for lunch on your own. It will be at the Butler County Health Center in David City.

CAPITOL VIEW There are plenty of distractions. Ukraine vs Russia, Israel vs the Palestinians, Republicans vs Other Republicans. The list is endless. But let’s turn our attention to a couple of Nebraska issues about which we can possibly do something.

Mental Health Workshop

Four Corners Health Department is sponsoring a mental health workshop on Thursday, November 2nd from 9 am to 3:30 pm. Cost is $15 and that includes lunch and refreshments. Registration begins at 8:30 am. The workshop will be at the Holthus Convention Center in York.

Pedicure Clinic

Pedicure clinics will be held at the Polk County Health Department the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of every month. Please call the health department at 402-747-2211 to make an appointment.

Human Trafficking is Closer Than You Think

Do you think human trafficking is just on TV like shows like Magnum, PI and movies like “Sound of Freedom”? It’s not. It’s getting close to home with large amounts of it happening in Lincoln, Grand Island and even smaller communities like St. Paul in Nebraska.
