The NSAA (Nebraska School Activities Association) and Currency sponsor Believers and Achievers, a statewide program that recognizes Nebraska’s future leaders. This program was designed to honor students for excellency in academics as well as participation in NSAA activities.

Osceola Receives Free Trees Thanks to Grant

Thanks to the Ten Free Trees program, an effort of the Nebraska Forest Service and the Nebraska Statewide Arboretum, The Osceola Ballpark received ten trees to help replenish the many lost due to the Mountain Pine Beetle and pine wilt disease.

Highway Memorial Signs Line Roadsides

You may have recently seen blue highway memorial signs such as the one pictured. The Nebraska Department of Transportation now offers these roadside memorials for a person who lost their life due to a vehicle crash on the state highway system.

State park areas are wonderful places to celebrate Halloween in Nebraska with many hosting family-friendly activities on weekends in October. Plan your opportunity for fun at several park locations. Remember: A park entry permit is required of each vehicle entering a state park area.
