We will be having Story Hour on September 27th, at 4:00. We are inviting all children in Pre-K though 2nd grade to join us for a fun hour of stories, crafts and treats. We will be working with leaves so if your child would like to look for and bring some large to Story Hour, that would be great.

National Farm Safety and Health Week is September 1723, 2023. This year’s theme is “No one can take your place”. Farm safety and health includes a large variety of topics. Each day of the week has its own focus. Tractor and Rural Roadway Safety: We all have a part in road safety.

Calvary Lutheran Does “God’s Work, Our Hands”

On Sunday September 24, Calvary Lutheran Church of Swede Home will be observing their 10th year of “God’s Work, Our Hands” a program started by the ELCA Synod to have churches do outreach activities beyond the walls of the church.

Note: The story below is one of many “Minnesota memories” from the twenty-some years I spent in the land of 10,000 lakes and a zillion mosquitoes. My parents had just arrived at my house in east-central Minnesota after a five-hour trip. I’d spent the day teaching first graders.
