Alex Snyder received The Quilt of Valor on Sunday, September 10th, at his parents’ home near Clarks. Alex is a 2011 graduate of Cross County High School. He served 8 years in the Marines and was deployed with the 31st MEU in support of Operations Enduring Freedom. Oakley Jelinek, 9 years old of Osceola, daughter of Nate and Torie (Conkling) Jelinek, had an amazing weekend at the Nebraska State Fair. She won Champion Maintainer Breeding Heifer then received third Overall Breeding Heifer with her heifer Nikki. She also won Grand Champion Market Heifer with her heifer Blanche. Photo provided.
