CENTRAL CITY- US 30 East of Central City-Weather permitting, work will begin on June 8 on U.S. Highway 30. Werner Construction, Inc., of Hastings, is the contractor for this project. Work includes concrete pavement repair, asphalt milling, asphalt overlay, earth shoulder, and seeding.

Diplomas and certificates were conferred on more than 1,000 University of Nebraska Medical Center students during ceremonies held May 7 in Lincoln, Norfolk and Kearney and May 9 in Omaha and Scottsbluff.The following is a list of area graduates -- organized by college, degree and hometown.

Ella Ricker was sitting in her elementary school orchestra class when she first considered a career in teaching. Her orchestra teachers at Lincoln Public Schools made learning to play music so fun, she wanted to share that joy with others.

Lincoln, NE– The Nebraska Department of Labor (NDOL) is urging Nebraskans to use extra caution when hiring contractors for home or business repairs and remodeling. While all contractors working in the state are required to register with NDOL, registration doesn’t guarantee the quality of their work.
