Booster Club: Ready, Set Go!

EMTs Needed, Meeting Info

HEAR YE, HEAR YE. We are announcing the upcoming organizational meeting on Monday, August 14th at the Stromsburg Fire Barn for anyone who would like to be an EMT. Instructor Steve Kelso will be there to guide you and answer any questions you might have. It would be helpful to bring your calendar.

God’s Work, Our Hands

“God’s work. Our hands.” Stromsburg’s Salem Lutheran Church is one of nearly 8700 congregations of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America with the opportunity to participate in “God’s Work, Our Hands” on Sunday, September 10th.

Solar Project Needs Name

PCRPPD, in collaboration with the City of Stromsburg, has a one-megawatt solar installation that will go live later this fall. We need your help naming the project. Please submit your project name suggestions to your electric provider by August 25th.

A commercial encountered while recently “channel surfing” (during a news segment’s break) reminded me of my summer employment within an ice cream parlor, prior to my senior year of high school. The popular setting offered a wide variety of tasty treats and was fastidiously maintained.

Benefit for Burritt

On August 13th will be a benefit for David Burritt who served Osceola Fire and Rescue and Nebraska Firefighters as a Instructor with the Nebraska Fire Service. Dave is currently battling cancer. Dave also serves the youth of Osceola being the voice of the Bulldogs during sports activities.

Dawg Daze Parade Registration Osceola Dawg Daze will be August 27th to September 1st. OHS homecoming will be September 1st. Register for the parade by contacting Mrs. Baloun. The theme is Disney. A Google form is available.
