Blood Pressure Clinics

Clinics to monitor blood pressure will also be held at the Polk County Health Department in Osceola, every 1st and 3rd Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. No appointment is necessary. Walk-ins are welcome any day during office hours.

Osceola School Staff Correction

The list of support staff including bus drivers, para-educators, coaches and sponsors was not correct in last week’s insert. PCN regrets the error, and here is a corrected list. Paraprofessionals: Marche Augustine, Amanda Hinkle, Carolyn Kuhnel, Pat Mentink, Janet Schott and Michelle Voigt.

Osceola Farmers’ Market

CHANGE OF DATE AND LOCATION! The final Osceola Farmers Market for the summer will now be on Tuesday, August 15th, at the new gym parking lot. The market, held in conjunction with the OPS Back-to-School night, will feature a vintage vehicle show and the American Legion Auxiliary’s pie social.

On Thursday, August 10th, GG will be hosting Michelle Chamberlain and her ‘Cornerstones’ from 1:00-3:00 p.m. Michelle was set-up in the town square for the Swedish Festival where Annette and Steve first met her.

Nebraska Fall Turkey Permits Available Beginning Aug. 14

Hunters may begin purchasing 2023 Nebraska fall turkey permits at 1 p.m. Central time Aug. 14. A fall turkey permit still is valid statewide, but significant changes have taken place for the fall season in 2023. Each hunter may only have one fall permit.
