Polk County Sheriff Aids in Drug Arrest

Last Thursday (July 27th) at 5:40 pm, members of the SNARE Drug Task Force including the Columbus Police Department and the Nebraska State Patrol served a search warrant at a residence in northern rural Polk County.

Girl Scout Troop Holds Product Drive

Girl Scout Troop 58826 in Shelby is having a product drive for the Shelby Senior Center. Items needed include coffee, paper towels, packaged gravy, plastic cutlery (knives, forks and spoons) and monetary donations.

Car Show

Library News

Barn Quilt Painting Barn quilt painting with Jacki Ryba will be Saturday, August 5th at 9:30 a.m. Registration is due by July 29th with a fee of $60. This is hosted by the Shelby Community Library. There is a limit of 14 people, so register soon to save your place.

Game and Parks, Omaha PD, Respond to Mountain Lion

The Nebraska Game and Parks Commission confirmed a mountain lion sighting July 24 in southwest Omaha. A mountain lion was recorded by a home security video at 4:15 a.m. July 24 near I-80 and Q Street and was reported to Game and Parks.
