A local group of moms and grandmas meet in homes and churches to pray over our schools. Moms in Prayer International is a global ministry with praying groups in over 150 countries, with the booklet translated into 67 languages.

Eighty-five students participated in the 19th annual Central Honors Institute June 25-28 at Central Community College-Columbus. Participants will be in the seventh or eighth grade this fall and have high ability in language arts, math and/or science.

Railroad Crossing Work Starting Soon

Polk County News STROMSBURG — Weather permitting, railroad crossing maintenance will begin August 7 on US-81, in Stromsburg, according to the Nebraska Department of Transportation. US-81 will be closed at the railroad crossing located on the south end of Stromsburg.
