Benefit for Burritt

Save the date! On August 13th will be a benefit for David Burritt who served Osceola Fire and Rescue and Nebraska Firefighters as a Instructor with the Nebraska Fire Service. Dave is currently battling cancer.

Presbyterian Church Session and Trustees will meet Sunday, July 16th, following worship services. Monthly Fireman’s meeting will be Monday, July 17th, at 7:30 p.m. The Gresham Community Club will meet Monday, July 31st, at 7:30 p.m. at the Community Center.

Polk man takes plea deal

YORK – Lauren Bauer of rural Polk has taken a plea deal in a case where he had been charged with two Class 1D felonies, both regarding the possession of firearms despite being a convicted felon and prohibited person.

I cannot believe how fast the month of June went! Our summer reading program for this year is in the books! Lola Smith was our top reader for the program. Zander Ditloff was a close second. Rounding out third place was Berkley Smith.

Rain! Beautiful rain! Oh, that it would last all day, as one resident commented. Nevertheless we are so grateful for what we get. Our thoughts and prayers go out for those who recently had large hail and wind that damaged crops and buildings. It is sad to see the damage.
