Heads or Nails Salon Moves to New Location

Heads or Nails Salon moved into 240 N Main Street in Osceola, opening on Tuesday, June 27th. Renovations happened quickly, while Brandi Conkling and Lindsey Nutz took no time off during the transition. Despite the small chaos of changing locations, owner Brandi Conkling is excited for the move.

After last year’s Q150 play, the Osceola Community Players had so much fun, they decided to do it again. This year they found a few good men to join them. Director Jenni Erhart picked the melodrama “She Was Only Marginally Modest”. This play stars a young lady named Marginally Modest “Marge”.

When one door closes, another opens. After years on the west side of the square, owner Lisa Artz is closing the West Side Bar and Grill. Their last day was June 17th. Lisa would like to thank everyone who has supported her for the last 12 years.

Carlson Receives Scholarship

As a memorial to Becky Watts, who passed away September 15, 2019, her family gave a generous memorial to P.E.O. Chapter CN to be used for scholarships. A portion of the memorial was given directly to the P.E.O. Foundation to help fund our international projects.

The Osceola Community Players will present the play “She Was Only Marginally Modest” on Sunday June 25th at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. at the Osceola Auditorium. There is no cost but there will be an opportunity for a free will donation.

Summer means it’s time for our Summer Reading Programs—and summer hours! Now through August, the library will be open on Thursdays from 12:00—3:00 in addition to our regular hours. Children’s Summer Reading Program continues on Thursdays through July 6.
