STROMSBURG — The temperature is climbing and soon so will the bike traffic on the streets around Stromsburg. More than 30 children learned about bike safety on Saturday at the Bike Rodeo presented by the Stromsburg EMS Department.

Cross County robotics team 5155A competed in World competition in Dallas last week. The team consisted of Brett Williams, Dane Holtzen, and Andrew Dubas led by their sponsor Ben Hackett. They were off to a great start at the tournament winning 3-1.

Only 15 schools in Nebraska were named National Banner Schools. Shelby-Rising City Public School was selected through the National Special Olympics Board as a school that strives for inclusion. They were awarded with banners on Tuesday.
