Visit Schramm Education Center for June events

Make a visit to the Schramm Education Center south of Gretna, where educators have scheduled a variety of engaging events for the curious in June.The center, located within Schramm Park State Recreation Area, is open from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. daily.

Shelby Library Summer Events

The Summer reading contest starts May 20th and ends Monday, July 13th. Prizes are awarded to everyone who participates and one person in each of three age groups gets a $100 shopping spree.Wednesdays in June will be weekly crafts and story time. The first one is June 3rd from 10-11:30 AM.

Help with Memorial Day

Shelby Legion Post 296 is asking for community help with memorial weekend activities.The Legion members will be working at the cemetery: Thursday May 21 at 6:00 p.m. they will be preparing all the holes for the flags for the avenue of flags.Saturday May 23 at 9:00 a.m.
