Students Visit the Senior Center

Members of the third, fourth and fifth grades sang Valentine Songs and shared poems with the Senior Center last week on Valentine's Day! Their singing voices were amazing and the poems were delightful.

Celebrating World Marriage Day in Shelby

Twelve couples celebrated World Marriage Day on February 12 at Sacred Heart Church in Shelby, with Father Andrew Litt officiating. Honored couples were Don & Bonnie Augustin & Roger & Sandy Gabel, who will be celebrating 50 years of marriage this year.

Speech Team Competes at Fullerton Meet

The Shelby-Rising City Speech team competed at Fullerton. Varsity team was meet runner-up and the novice team came in 4th place!
Staff Sergeant Tyler Triplett received a Quilt of Valor on Sunday, February 19, 2023, at his home in Osceola. Triplett serves in the South Dakota Army National Guard, based in Belle Fourche, SD. He joined in July 2012 and has taken part in Operation Enduring Freedom, serving in both Kuwait and Iraq. Pictured with Tyler are his wife Emily and daughters Kenna and Elsie. After a crazy week filled with basketball, quiz bowl, school, and an engineering competition, these kids still found the energy to compete. These kids are the definition of HARD WORKING.
