Two Parks Running Club

The Two Parks Running Club will hold their annual meeting on Monday, March 6th from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at the Rose Colored Glass. At this meeting you can learn about the club and sign up for 2023 membership.

Northeast Community College Announces Graduates

NORFOLK, Neb. - Two hundred fifty-three students completed their degree, diploma or certificate programs in summer and fall 2022 from Northeast Community College. One hundred-seventy- nine completed during the fall term while another seventy-four completed in the summer.

Osceola Community Action Group

The Osceola Community Action Group will hold their kick off meeting of 2023 on Thursday, February 23rd at the Osceola Civic Center at 12:30 p.m. Business and individuals are welcome to join us for the first meeting of 2023 as we work together to improve our town Osceola. 2x(2/23)

Ambulance Fundraiser

Children’s Immunization Clinics

The Polk County Health Department will hold immunization clinics at the Polk County Health Department, Osceola, NE, on Monday, February 27, 2023, from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. An appointment is required for compliance to the COVID-19 directives.

OSCEOLA — The basketball schedule said Osceola was taking on Heartland, but there was another opponent that night — childhood cancer. Few things can overshadow a come-from-behind, double overtime win by the Bulldogs, but this might come close.

Area Cheer, Dance Teams Ready for State Competition

Area cheer and dance teams are making final preparations for the 2023 Nebraska State Cheer and Dance Championships. Cross County, Osceola and Shelby-Rising City will all be competing on Friday at the Heartland Event Center in Grand Island. High Plains does not have a competitive team.

New Business in Stromsburg is Very ‘Detail’-Oriented

STROMSBURG — Tyler Shoup learned detailing from a local company in a previous job. He was let go as his employer wanted full-time employees. Tyler, a 17-year old junior from Cross County, couldn’t work full time. He quit wrestling, and wanted a job, but couldn’t find anything that interested him.

Daycare Needed in Polk County

Moms in Polk County are struggling to find daycare. They WANT to work but can’t because they have babies or toddlers. How can we help this need? There are approximately 10 licensed daycares in Polk County; most of these are in Osceola and Stromsburg.
