Given recently renewed focus on the “Hwy 81 - York to Columbus” project, our time together last week involved the current 3-lane proposal for Stromsburg, Osceola and Shelby, and the controversy regarding the “roundabout” concept. However, I did not address that previously proposed expressway.

The family of Marilyn J. Dey, will be hosting a Book Signing Open House in honor of Marilyn’s new book titled “Walking in the Light of His Glory” on Saturday, Feb. 18 from 2-4 p.m. at the Dey Warehouse located on the east edge of Gresham. Books will be available for sale at the event.

York University Announces Dean’s List

YORK — York University announced the students named to the Dean's List for the Fall 2022 term. 124 students were recognized with this distinction. To be named to the Dean’s List, students must carry 12 or more graded hours and achieve a semester grade point average of at least 3.

CC Robotics Team Travels to Wisconsin

Cross County Robotics teams participated in two different events last week in two different states. Team 5155A, made up of Brett Williams, Dane Holtzen and Andrew Dubas, went to Green Bay, Wisconsin to compete. They went 2-0 on qualification matches for the first day.

Residents Return from Mission Trip to Togo

In January, Pastor Mike Brill, Ross Eller and RyanTwogood went to Togo, West Africa on a mission trip. Ross and Ryan stayed for one week, and Pastor Brill stayed for two. They met missionaries their church supports and see what all they did, and experienced a new culture.

Cross County FFA Participates in CDE#1

The Cross County FFA chapter participated in CDE#1 last week. Agronomy placed second and qualified for State. Those members going to state include: Lucas Jacobsen, Rafe Peterson, Koy Mentink and Tobey Waller. Floriculture placed third and also qualified for State.
