Robotics Team Travels to St. Paul

The Cross County Robotics team traveled to St. Paul and Jaiden Jeratowski (team 5155J) was the tournament champion. Team 5155S got fourth in skills and seventh in qualifications. Team 5155J is ninth in skills and first in qualifications.

Cheering For a Bulldog Win

The Osceola student section cheers on the Bulldogs during the Crossroads Conference Tournament last week in York. The Osceola cheerleaders kept the fans cheering during both boys and girls games.

Rescue Missions: Helping the Hurting and the Homeless in the Name of Jesus

Here in Polk County, we are situated between two rescue missions: The Living Water Rescue Mission in York and the Columbus Rescue Mission in Columbus. These rescue missions aim to help the homeless and hurt people in Jesus’ name.

Cross County Finishes 4th at FFA Judging Clinic

Cross County FFA students had the opportunity to practice their livestock judging skills at the 3rd annual Battle Creek FFA judging clinic. Congrats to Kole Crawford for his second place finish and Chesney Sundberg for her 10th place finish. Cross County placed fourth overall.

Shelby Library Gets Desk Set Video Magnifier

A recent partnership between the Nebraska Library Commission and the Nebraska Commission for the Blind and Visually Impaired (NCBVI) has improved services for patrons with low Vision, with the Shelby Community Library, Stromsburg Public Library, Osceola Public Library, and Polk Public Library.

Senior Center

Everyone is welcome to come out on Valentine's Day to hear the musical performance of Ms. Hyde's music classes for grades 3-5 at Shelby-Rising City Schools. Please arrive at the Shelby Senior Center by 1 p.m. on Feb. 14 for the 1:15 p.m. performance.

Pedicure Clinic

Pedicure clinics will be held at the Polk County Health Department the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of every month. Please call the health department at 402-747-2211 to make an appointment.
