New Proposed Bill Cuts Nebraska Historic Tax Credit

On January 21st, Senator Murman introduced LB1244 on behalf of Governor Pillen.The bill proposes an amendment to Nebraska Statute 77-2912 stating that “there shall be no new applications filed under the Nebraska Job Creation and Mainstreet Revitalization Act after June 30, 2026.

Game and Parks suggests tips for safe ice fishing

Stay safe this winter while enjoying a day of ice fishing. Follow these tips from the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission for safety on the ice: The minimum ice thickness for supporting one person is at least 4 inches of clear, solid ice.

Swedish Festival

A lot was accomplished at the first planning meeting for the Swedish Midsommar Festival that will be held June 19-21. Entertainment is booked for Saturday evening and other choices were discussed for Friday. Most of the regular festivities will continue as in the past.
