Animals must be approved

GRESHAM — Conditional use permits MUST be issued if you want farm animals in town. The Village Board discussed farm animals at a recent meeting. It is against the village ordinance to have these animals without a permit.

LINCOLN — History Nebraska announced today that applications are now available for the Rural Nebraska Historic Preservation grant program.

High Plains FCA Caroling

High Plains Schools Good, Great, Excellent

The results of Nebraska’s accountability system were released in Lincoln, showing that High Plains Community Schools was classified among the GREAT school districts statewide, High Plains Community Elementary was classified as EXCELLENT, and High Plains Community JH/ HS was classified as GOOD.

Polk Senior Center

The Polk Senior Center will be hosting a special dinner on Thursday, Dec. 29th. Our menu is Meatloaf, Mashed Potatoes, Gravy, Broccoli Raisin Salad, and Cinnamon Pears. We will be calling the week of December 12th to get a count that must be turned in to the kitchen by December 19th.

Calvin Eller Calvin Kurtis Eller was born on October 15, 2022 to Ross and Jordan Eller of Stromsburg. He weighed 7 pounds 7 ounces. Grandparents are Bob and Jill Eller of Stromsburg and great-grandparents Jack and Judy Anderson of Stromsburg.

U.S. SENATOR Last Friday, I attended the change of command ceremony at U.S. Strategic Command (STRATCOM) headquarters at Offutt Air Force Base. There, Admiral Charles “Chas” Richard transferred command to U.S. Air Force General Anthony J. Cotton.
