OSCEOLA — For the last six years, St. Paul Lutheran Church in Osceola has been a drop-off location for Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes. These shoeboxes filled with toys, school supplies, clothes and personal hygiene items may be the only gift a child will receive.

New Cross Dedicated at Osceola First UMC

During the November 13th worship service this beautiful cross, which adorns the top of the bell tower at the Osceola First United Methodist Church, was dedicated. It was given in memory of Raymie Watts, and Alex and Dorothy Mills.

Two Hunting Accidents in the Last Week

An Indianola man was seriously injured in a deer hunting incident at about 5 p.m. November 20 in Red Willow County. The 20-year-old was accidentally shot by a rifle belonging to a 54-year-old male who was following him and another hunter up an embankment.

National Family Caregiver's Month

November is National Family Caregiver’s Month. This is a time to recognize family caregivers, raise awareness of caregiving issues, educate communities, and increase support for these caregivers. Caregivers help with another person’s social and/or health needs.
