Healthier You Class

Osceola Senior Center presents “Healthier You in ‘22”. This is a women’s exercise group for all abilities. Classes are Monday and Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. No charge for classes. To learn more contact the Osceola Senior Center.

Now to resume the tour of Polk county rural churches as inspired by Diana Langer and the Historical Society programs and display boards which can be seen at the St. John’s church on the museum grounds. We left off with the Wesley Chapel site and cemetery and now proceed up into “the valley.

  First of all, I want to say a BIG THANK YOU to Monica Tidyman for all her years of service to the Stromsburg Library. I know our patrons enjoyed her wonderful service and help over the past ten or more years. We wish Monica the best in her new endeavor, although we will miss her here.

Stromsburg Baptist Church Hosts Ken Mikle

History of Voting in the United States

In the Constitution in 1789, voting was limited to property- owning or tax-paying white males (about 6% of the population. The Naturalization Act of 1790 limited citizenship to free white persons.

Max Gabel will celebrate his 90th birthday
