Polk Library

October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month. This is a time to recognize the victims, survivors, family members, and loved ones of those affected by domestic violence. Domestic violence affects all communities and can affect any one person.

Small-Town Pharmacies Face Problems

Reimbursements are getting smaller for small town pharmacies. The pharmacy benefit managers are causing grief and despair for these businesses. Tooley’s Pharmacy in Osceola is not immune from the issues. Tim Tooley confirmed six or seven stores in Nebraska have closed already.
