Back to School Open House

The Back to School Open House is Thursday, August 11. The Burger Appreciation Meal is from 5-6:30 p.m. Bring the family out for a burger and visit classrooms to drop off supplies. Laptop check-out will not happen at the open house. Parents can bring the $35 laptop fee to the library.

The dog days of August have arrived! Hot, humid, good corn growing weather—they say. In our Table Talk time on Friday, one question was, “What is your favorite time of year?” It is always interesting that not one person ever says summer. The favorite is fall with spring a close second.

Dementia Support Group will not meet

Dementia support group will not meet in July and August. The next meeting will be September 19th.

Pedicure Clinic

Pedicure clinics will be held at the Polk County Health Department the 1st Wednesday morning and 3rd Wednesday afternoon of every month. Please call the health department at 402-747-2211 to make an appointment. .

Blood Pressure Clinics

Clinics to monitor blood pressure will also be held at the Polk County Health Department in Osceola, every 1st and 3rd Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. No appointment is necessary. Walk-ins are welcome any day during office hours.

Immunization Clinics

The Polk County Health Department will hold immunization clinics at the Polk County Health Department in Osceola on Wednesday August 10th, 2022 from 1:30 to 3:30 and Monday, August 15th from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. An appointment is required for compliance to the COVID-19 directives.
