Bob Blase is Awarded a Quilt of Valor

Robert L. “Bob” Blase enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1966. He served from May 1966 to 1970. His training and boot camp was in San Diego, California. He was stationed at Moffet Naval Air Field in Mountain View, California from 1966 to 1968.

TEN YEARS AGO July 26, 2012 Shelby Food Mart was hosting an open house on Saturday, July 28th from 8 to noon in the morning. There were in-store specials and surprise give-aways. The annual Booster Club steak fry was going to be held August 25th at A & B Bar.

Daughters of the Nile Marathon Results

The Daughters of the Nile Marathon players have completed the 2021-2022 season and $108 was donated to the Convalescent Relief Fund from the players in the two leagues. That brings the donations to the Shrine Children’s Hospital to $34,811 in the past 38 years.

Booster Club Steak Fry set for Aug. 6

SHELBY — The Shelby-Rising City Booster Club Steak Fry is Saturday, Aug. 6 from 6-10 p.m. at the Shelby Legion Club. Couple tickets are $65 at the door. Individual tickets are $45 at the door. Tickets get you a steak dinner and membership to booster club.
