The Grand Finale for the Shelby Community Library Summer Event, will be held at the Shelby Park on Saturday, July 23rd from 9 am to 12 pm. Open to all children, pre-school through 12th Grade is welcome to attend.

Booster Club Steak Fry set for Aug. 6

SHELBY — The Shelby-Rising City Booster Club Steak Fry is Saturday, Aug. 6 from 6-10 p.m. at the Shelby Legion Club. Couple tickets are $65 at the door. Individual tickets are $45 at the door. Tickets get you a steak dinner and membership to booster club.

It’s Christmas in July at Shelby Library

SHELBY — Christmas comes early in Shelby as the library gears up for a Christmas Ornament Painting Class. Mix and match four different ornaments at the class on Saturday, July 23 at 10 a.m. The cost is just $14. Interested artists need to register by Saturday at the library.

One of the best things about living in Nebraska in the summer is visiting the county fairs. There are so many wonderful things to see and do, and so many delicious foods to smell and taste. The experiences are endless and often provide happy memories for years to come.

Hanson Named Willow Brook Assisted Living Administrator

York General CEO Jim Ulrich released a statement welcoming Treva Hanson back to York General in a full-time position as the new administrator at Willow Brook Assisted Living (York, Nebraska). Hanson was previously the Director of Nursing Services at York General Hearthstone.

Sign-up for Golf Scramble and Help Pay for Summer Camps

The third annual Dennis Gray Memorial 4-Person Golf Scramble returns at 9 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 6 The scramble is at Valley View Golf Course in Central City. Proceeds from the scramble help offset the cost for High Plains students attending summer camps for athletic and other activities.
