Summer Reading is coming to the Osceola Public Library! The theme is Oceans of Possibilities and it will take place on Thursdays starting on June 23rd through July 14th from 10-11 a.m.

The Nebraska School Activities Association (NSAA) is pleased to announce the final standings for the NSAA Cup, the NSAA All-Activities Award for Nebraska high schools.

Last week’s front page article, “Osceola Fire Department Installs Old Fire Bell,” certainly warmed the heart, with great news that this historic artifact -- currently in the “protective custody” of the Polk County Historical Society -- will be moved to its permanent home at the Osceola Fire Station.

Clean-Up Week in Osceola

The Osceola Q150 Committee will be hosting a Clean-Up week in collaboration with Osceola Community Action Group, The City of Osceola, and Osceola Public Schools. Together, we will be participating in Keep Nebraska Beautiful Day on June 25th.

TEN YEARS AGO June 7, 2012 Participating in the Blue Collar basketball camp at Hastings College were Ty Steager, Evan Houdersheldt and Nathan Luchsinger. Matthew Perry from Shelby graduated from Des Moines University with a Doctorate of Physical Therapy. He is the son of Robin and Colleen Perry.

Shelby Prepares for BRAN

Seward County Uku-ladies Perform in Shelby

The St. Anne’s Guild guest night was held last Thursday evening at the Legion in Shelby. They invited the Seward County Ukuladies to come for entertainment after a supper. About fifty ladies were in attendance. The Ukuladies are a group of five friends from Seward County.
