Covenant Home Clips

National Smile Day was this past week and we celebrated by sharing smiley face pins with all the Bingo players as well as painting watercolor smiley faces in our craft time. Some are very colorful—besides the expected yellow! One artistic resident made her smileys look like spring flowers.

Clinics to monitor blood pressure will also be held at the Polk County Health Department in Osceola, every 1st and 3rd Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. No appointment is necessary. Walk-ins are welcome any day during office hours.

The Polk County Health Department will hold immunization clinics at the Polk County Health Department in Osceola on Monday, June 27th, 2022 from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. An appointment is required for compliance to the COVID-19 directives.

Pedicure clinics will be held at the Polk County Health Department the 1st Wednesday morning and 3rd Wednesday afternoon of every month. Please call the health department at 402-747-2211 to make an appointment. .

Polk County News Under New Ownership

It’s been quite a year for the Polk County News in terms of ownership. Dave and Sandy Thompson have owned the Polk County News ever since taking it over from Dave’s parents in 2006. They were looking to sell it. Then after many months, in August 2021 John and Anna Sterup purchased the business.

Gov. Ricketts, First Lady Debut 2023 Nebraska License Plate Design

LINCOLN – Governor Pete Ricketts and First Lady Susanne Shore revealed the design of the next general issue Nebraska license plate on Tuesday. The design is a mosaic pattern depicting the Genius of Creative Energy and is based on artwork inside the Nebraska Capitol Building.
