Open House

Blood Pressure Clinics

Clinics to monitor blood pressure will also be held at the Polk County Health Department in Osceola, every 1st and 3rd Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. No appointment is necessary. Walk-ins are welcome any day during office hours.

Pedicure Clinic

Pedicure clinics will be held at the Polk County Health Department the 1st Wednesday morning and 3rd Wednesday afternoon of every month. Please call the health department at 402-747-2211 to make an appointment.

Immunization Clinics

The Polk County Health Department will hold immunization clinics at the Polk County Health Department in Osceola on Wednesday, June 8th, 2022 from 1:00 to 3:30 p.m. and Monday, June 27th, 2022 from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. An appointment is required for compliance to the COVID-19 directives.

Area Students Make Dean’s List

HASTINGS, Nebraska (May 26, 2022) - Hastings College has announced the Dean’s List for its spring 2022 semester. For the semester, 397 students from 21 states and 10 countries were named to the Dean’s List. To be eligible for the Dean’s List, students must achieve a grade point average of 3.7 to 4.

Car Stolen in Stromsburg, Recovered in Garland Monday

STROMSBURG — A car that was stolen last week from the square has been recovered. Polk County Sheriff Dwaine Ladwig said the 2008 4-door gray Chevy Impala was found parked on Main Street in Garland on Monday. The keys were left in the car and no damage was reported.
