TEN YEARS AGO April 26, 2012 Parkview Dairy Inn in Stromsburg is under new ownership, LeAnna Montgomery and Jeff Norquest. Former exchange student Lena (Hultman) Bergquist visited Stromsburg. She was an exchange student from Sweden in 1971-1972 and stayed with Richard and Donna Anderson.

AWANA Awards Kids for Bible Verse Memorization

AWANA is a program for kids from Kindergarten to sixth grade where they learn verses, hear a speaker and play games. The concluded their 41st year with an awards night on Wednesday, April 20th. Awards and participation ribbons were awarded to all clubbers to all who finished their books this year.

Linn Selected for P.E.O. Star Scholarship

So You Think You Can Speak Swedish

The “So You Think You Can Speak Swedish” Contest will be held on the evening of April 30th during the Valborgs Natt festivities. Contestants will read two verses of “Children of the Heavenly Father” in Swedish, to be judged by Kelsey Patton and Bob Greenwall.
