The Lady Cougars made the trek to Hampton to play the Lady Hawks on Thursday. The Cross County girls started out well scoring 19 points in the first quarter, most of that coming from Senior Josi Noble. Josi had a great first quarter scoring 10 points. The Lady Hawks only made three buckets for 6 points in the first quarter. The Hampton girls did a bit better in the second quarter adding 8 points, but it still wasn’t enough as Cross County added 15, leaving a half time score of 31-14.
Hampton had a rough third quarter only scoring 3 points while the Lady Cougars added 18. The Lady Hawks did a bit better in the last quarter, but it wasn’t enough as they were outscored again. The final score was 60-26 in favor of the Lady Cougars.
High scorers for Cross County were Noble with 15, Shyanne Anderson with 13 including three 3-pointers and Chloe Sandell with 8 points. Lilly Peterson grabbed 8 rebounds to help the Lady Cougars win.
