Dusty Hanson, a 2002 Stromsburg graduate, was named teacher of the year for Imagine Schools Charter Association in Gilbert, Arizona. He is a middle school social science teacher.
The 2012 Swedish festival was complete. Results included King Bob Berggren and Queen Kendra Waller, Super Swede Merlin Simpson and Honorary Swede Barbara Nelson.
