POLK — High Plains opened the volleyball season on Thursday with a pair of wins against East Butler and Giltner.
The Storm defeated the Tigers 25-20, 25-22 in the first match.
Senior Hailey Lindburg finished the East Butler match with 10 kills. Senior Kenzie Wruble added 7 kills. Senior Emily Ackerson had 17 digs. Sophomore Rylee Ackerson added three blocks.
The Storm cruised to straight set wins over the Hornets 25-15, 25-18 for their second win of the year.
Wruble added 9 kills in the match, while Lindburg finished with 6 kills, 2 aces and 6 digs. Ackerson added 2 aces in the match.
The Storm (2-0) travel to Fullerton on Tuesday.
