If you think you smelled something funny Wednesday evening or Thursday morning, you probably did. This wasn’t from the Canada fires. The Nuttelman Dairy near Stromsburg had a fire mid-afternoon Wednesday when some hay bales exploded and started on fire. Three units responded to the call: Stromsburg, Benedict and Polk. They were there about three hours to control the flames.
