Donald William Hughes, age 91 of Stromsburg, died Sunday, October 9, 2022 at his home in rural Stromsburg. He was born on January 16, 1931 to Archie and Ruby (Nordstrom) Hughes on the Stromsburg family farm. On December 19, 1958 he was united in marriage to Edna Mae Willhoft in Geneva, NE.

Doris J. Erickson, 93, of Clarks, Nebraska, died Friday, September 30, 2022 at her home.  Funeral services will be Tuesday, October 4, 2022 at 10 a.m. at Solt-Wagner Funeral Home in Central City.  Visitation will be Monday, October 3, 2022 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.

Roger W. Campbell

Roger W. Campbell, age 80, of Stromsburg, Nebraska, passed away September 20, 2022 as a result of a car accident. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Roger was born October 17, 1941 to Lloyd and Mary (Maloney) Campbell in Waukon, Iowa.

Elaine Marie (Henggeler) Toline, age 93, of Stromsburg, Nebraska, passed away September 11, 2022 at the Midwest Covenant Home in Stromsburg. Graveside services will be held Monday, September 19, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at the Swede Home Cemetery with Pastor Leonard Suhr officiating.

Betty C. Kjelson of Pfafftown, North Carolina passed away August 26, 2022. She was born Betty Aasen in Fairbury, Nebraska on September 22, 1927. She graduated from Fairbury High School and the University of Nebraska where she met and married Lee Kjelson of Stromsburg.

Jerome D. Petty, 67, of Polk, Nebraska, formerly of Sutherland and Aurelia, Iowa passed away after a long battle with cancer.  Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 6, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at the Stromsburg Evangelical Free Church with Pastor Keet Redden officiating.
