Getting to Work for Nebraska

On January 5, 2023, I took the oath of office to become the 33rd Attorney General serving the great State of Nebraska. By taking the oath, I joined the “people’s law firm,” teaming up with the professionals already hard at work representing Nebraskans across the state.

Critics Question Sustainability of Governor’s Proposed Tax and Education Plan

The new governor says his proposed tax cuts are historic. Critics say they are not sustainable. Rookie mistake by the pig farmer politician who is backed by his Republican party and most of the 32 Republicans in the Nebraska Legislature. Maybe it’s all of them, I haven’t taken a poll.

Amazon Smile

Amazon announced this week that their Amazon Smile for charitable donations will be ending on February 20. Instead they are putting their charitable donations to building affordable housing, and Amazon Future Engineer. What this means is charitable organizations will no longer receive these dollars.

I’ve Been Busy So Far

Hello District 24! My first few weeks in the Unicameral has seen myself and my fellow freshman Senators sworn into office, the inauguration of a new Governor, the appointment of a new United States Senator and the introduction of more than 800 bills!

Should We Consider a 2-House Legislature?

Cut Taxes, Invest in Our Kids

Our current tax system fails Nebraskans and needs reform now. For too long, our tax code has not been competitive. We rank 29th in the country for personal income tax rate and 32nd for business income tax rate. And as all Nebraskans know, we have some of the highest property taxes in the country.
