After a few years of searching for a collaboration in order to play spring high school baseball, Osceola High finally found a match in Twin River High and if last Saturday’s results are a measuring stick, the matchmaking has turned into a home run.

I grew up in a teaching family. Both my parents were teachers, so that meant Easter was a 4-day weekend for all of us. Usually we would go visit my dad’s side of the family. So either that meant going “out west” to the Nebraska panhandle (Sidney) or “way east” to near Chicago.

What a difference a week can make. Last Sunday we celebrated Palm Sunday — marking the day that Jesus had his triumphal entry into Jerusalem. Days later he was betrayed, convicted, beaten and crucified. But the story doesn’t end there. Jesus died on Friday and rose from the grave on Sunday.
