Klutz

I am a klutz often, and neuropathy from chemo treatment has not helped. I have broken my share of dishes, tripped over my own feet, tripped over a cat, fallen down stairs, and my famous bike injury from hitting a parked pickup.

Am I Helpful?

Sometimes my three year old leaves me scratching my head.Timmy — much like Penny and Charlie before him — has been our sour patch kid. One minute he is a complete savage and you better not turn your back on him. The next minute he is climbing up onto your lap for a hug.

Getting the Bronze

This week Beth and I celebrated our anniversary. I didn’t know what material this anniversary was supposed to be. I had to look it up.Last year was the chemo anniversary. Her first treatment was on Valentine’s Day and the second fell on our anniversary.

Disaster Relief for Our Producers

Recently, devastating wildfires swept Southern California. And flash flooding swamped parts of Tennessee, Kentucky, and Virginia. Some areas of North Carolina, Florida, and other southern states are still rebuilding from the overwhelming damage of Hurricane Helene.

Mountain View?

ALAN’S ANECDOTESAs I drove home from work today, I saw a gray smudge of dark clouds along the horizon with a thinner strip of white jagged clouds on top. It looked like I was driving toward a mountain range. It was pretty, but I knew it wasn’t the mountain view that I really craved.
