We are writing to express our disappointment that the Polk County high school graduation ceremonies are all scheduled for the same overlapping date and time each year (2:00 pm on Saturday), which forces families to “pick and choose” when family members are graduating from different schools.

“Blue” Pizza

When our son was three years old, he was a horribly picky eater. If he could just eat mac and cheese, hot dogs, and pizza, then life was fine. But that mac and cheese had to be from a box, the hot dogs had to be the right color, and he would not eat anything but “blue pizza.

Talk of Governor Pillen calling a special session of the Legislature to address property tax relief continues to dominate the headlines. Meanwhile a significant number of bills were passed this past session and enacted into law to benefit our state and protect Nebraskans.

Butler County Republicans Censure Senator Hughes

The members of the Butler County Nebraska Republican Party’s County Central Committee voted unanimously to pass a resolution to formally censure District 24 Nebraska State Senator Jana Hughes for her recent vote of NO for cloture on LB441.
