Starting a New Year

Greetings everyone! I hope your 2024 is off to a good start. I want to start with a clarification. The scholarship from Sparrow Publications is an annual scholarship given to a high school senior each year. So the same person can’t get it twice, but we do plan to offer it every year.

New Year: Same Old Golden Rule

Imagine a religious man who owns a farm. He’s not like any farmer you’ve met before. Every day he goes out to his field and prays. When the other farmers are plowing the soil, he is on his knees praying. When the other farmers are spraying weeds or irrigating their plants, he is praying.

Time Flies When You’re Having Fun

It’s hard to believe that Christmas is in the rearview mirror. To be honest, the last couple of months have really been flying by. It feels like just last week that we were lighting off fireworks and cleaning up from Thanksgiving dinner.

BETH’S BITS Do you make New Year’s resolutions? I have, but it never works out. I make it a month or maybe two. Losing weight is never a good resolution; I don’t stick to that one. One year I had a resolution to read the Bible every day. I stuck to that for at least a month or two.
